Alfredo Gonzalez (Dofre) is an Oxnard-based artist with graffiti roots, merging traditional oil painting with bold, deconstructed portraiture. His work fuses precision with raw distortion, exploring themes of identity, impermanence, and transformation. Through layered textures and deliberate erasure, his portraits blur the line between presence and decay, creation and loss.

His work has been exhibited in Los Angeles and across the East Coast, with pieces held in private collections worldwide. Combining aerosol and oil, he builds and breaks down form, creating figures that shift between realism and abstraction. Each piece carries a sense of movement—disrupting realism to cement his voice in contemporary portraiture.
